Junior Golf Camp
About Us
The Bangor Golf School Junior Camp is the premier learning experience for young golfers ages 9 - 12. We pride ourselves in offering Junior Golfers the most inclusive and enjoyable camp they will attend all summer. We are committed to teaching the fundamentals necessary for our future stars to improve and enjoy the game. At the BGS, campers will not only learn about golf, they will have a great time doing it. With many different activities, each day at our camp is sure to be an exciting one.
Dates and Times
Camp begins at 10:00 a.m. and concludes at 3:30 p.m. each day. We are offering 2 sessions in 2008. Session 1 is July 7, 8, & 9. Session 2 is August 11, 12, &13.
The Basics
Each camper will learn fundamentals like the proper grip, setup, and alignment, but most importantly the students will walk away with our simple full-swing philosophy that makes the golf swing easier to understand and repeat. With two large practice greens, the campers will learn how to become a shortgame expert. In addition to the shortgame and full swing, we will also teach the students valuable course management skills. All of our students will learn simple methods that lead to lower scores. We guarantee it!
Education
Our students will also learn the rules and etiquette associated with golf. Each day we will have a rules seminar and a rules Q & A session. Every year this is one of the most fun portions of our camp! Students will also receive their own rule book written especially for juniors by the P.G.A.!
Challenges
The BGS Junior Camp offers its students much more than instruction. On the third day the campers new skills will be put to the test. Our second round of golf will be the Scramble Tournament. For this event we will have a special course setup for our campers. Also on Day Three will be the Shortgame Challenge and the very popular Long Driving Competition! Trophies will be awarded for the Shortgame Challenge and the Long Drive Competition. These challenges are certainly the biggest hit of the week!
Benefits
The students camp fee includes lunch each day in our clubhouse restaurant and a pizza party the last day! Each camper will also receive a free Bangor Golf School Tee Shirt with their paid entry. These are among just a few of the benefits for attending our golf camp.
Golf Clubs
The Bangor Golf School believes that golf clubs should be made affordable for every junior golfer. That is why we offer a package that includes a custom set of junior clubs. The BGS now offers its students the best equipment available to Juniors. If you choose to purchase this set through our camp, please make sure and write down your camper's height on the entry form. This measurement is a must to receive their golf clubs! Best of all, the Camp Bangor Vouchers will also cover the cost of this equipment for your camper! It is best that each camper has his or her own set of clubs for camp.
Registration
If you are using the Camp Bangor Vouchers just fill out the attached form and enclose your voucher stub. If you are not using a voucher we require a deposit of $50.00 with the remainder of the balance due 30 days prior to camp. Please read the payment details on the registration form. After we receive your registration we will mail you a confirmation and a permission slip regarding our policies. Refund Policy
Cancellations occurring 30 days prior to camp will receive a full refund. After that a fee of $50.00 for incidental costs will be charged. Customers ordering golf clubs will be charged the $50.00 fee plus the $125.00 cost of the equipment (which the student will still receive). If you need to cancel please call as soon as possible. We will always do our best to work with you regarding these fees and any other emergency issues!
